Our earth has plenty of water in the oceans and seas etc. Water covers about 71 % of the Earth’s surface, If you look at the map of the globe You will see that this is really a water world.
The entire universe is made of different atomic particles. The interactions of these atomic particles produced everything on earth including water that you see inside the earth surface and all around the earth.
Water (H2O) is two atoms of hydrogen and one oxygen atom. Theoretically, water can be manufactured on a small scale by combining hydrogen and oxygen atoms, but on a large scale it requires a lot of activation energy to combine the atoms and is extremely dangerous.
Point to note: I believe, the abundance of water on the surface of earth would be the result of abundance of hydrogen atoms in its atmosphere in the early earth and the abundance of oxygen atoms in its surface (crust ) as a metal oxides.The early earth had a reducing atmosphere (rich in hydrogen).The hydrogen atoms would have removed oxygen from metal oxides on its surface and would have converted to water. Hydrogen is converted into water by reduction with metal oxide. Note: Hydrogen atoms were the 1st atoms that appeared in the universe.
